Hello again! So this week I want to talk to you about the one plant everyone should have around their home----Aloe!! I can tell you from experience aloe is easy to grow and keep alive. I have had Grandmother Aloe for almost ten years now, and when I first acquired her I couldn't keep anything alive. (Thankfully I have gained somewhat of a green thumb and always trying to learn more) I am going to focus more on the external properties of aloe but it has several medicinal uses internally maybe we can cover another day. Aloe can be used for first, second or third-degree burns not only to sooth but also to reverse blistering and prevent scarring. It's helpful with insect bites, stings or rashes. If you happen to have a plant handy for such emergencies you can scoop gel directly from inside your leaf and apply to the wound. Aloe has a long history in the cosmetic world, dating as far back as Cleopatra. It naturally blocks 20% to 30% of UV rays and matches our skin's natural pH. I can't get over learning more and more about these magical plants and their history in healing. Always remember that this post is based on our opinions only and should never be taken in place of a professional medical opinion.
Please talk to your doctor before trying.
Love always,
Mad Moon Sisters
